Different Children
This evening, on the anniversary of my father's death and in deference to him, I want to celebrate children who are different. This is a poem by Digby Wolfe
Here's to the kids who are different;
The kids who don't always get A's.
The kids who have ears twice the size of their peers,
And noses that go on for days....
Here's to the kids who are different,
The kids they call crazy or dumb,
The kids who don't fit in, with the guts and the grit,
Who dance to the beat of a different drum....
Here's to the kids who are different,
The kids with the mischievous streak,
For when they have grown, as history's shown,
Its their difference that makes them unique.

I love this. Gonna send it to David.
That's great to read something about different children. They are all loved and special, no matter what.
Really wonderful post. Thank you so much
