May the Force Be With You.
Let's be honest, I don't have a clue about what 'the force' is nor why it should be with whoever 'you' is.
So I asked my children and had some muddled story about it being all around and that it was powerful and that it could levitate things. As they began talking about someone not liking his son, I said, "Oh so the force is a bit like the ocean," and my very delightful children laughed!
But hang on a moment; they laughed at me? At least my 'force' is tangible and real and beneficial. Theirs is...well, I still don't know what it is. But the point is that whatever magic is portrayed in movies, I bet we can find a real equivalent in some eco-structure of life. Just consider the electric eel's capacity to zap things with electricity, or how phosphorous at night looks like fairy dust.
So I challenge 'May the force be with you' fans to look around to see what tangible forces they can find in nature.
Now this is bound to catch on!

The wind is a magnificent force that I dare not trifle with. The gusts have been so bad the last few days that both my front and back porch look as if they are part of an abstract lawn furniture exhibit. The fact that it can push a boat across the ocean and create massive waves as well as knock over trees only adds to its glory as an impressive force. All of this in something we can’t see or smell. We can't make it or will it to begin or end. We relished its invisible countenance on pleasant days when in its weakness it softly kisses your sun touched faces. Yet, we disdain and fear it when it is at its’ strongest. Now this is a force that I would want with me and not against me!
Great point! Both the wind and ocean have incredible power that's to be respected. I hope you take a photo of your abstract lawn exhibit...you can blog about it (or write a poem about it - your writing style is very poetic). Thank you so much for your comment.
God's Holy Spirit is my force, and I pray for it when I am in dire need of strength or even the smalls of comfort.
Yes, I can tell that you're very spiritual and that you derive strength from it. That's great because it obviously helps get you through the hard times...and, as we all know, we all face those at some time or another.
I love your Phonic Reading Lessons: Skills and Practice..... the waves reminded me of how students are when they are beginning to read because of the great force when they beging to read.....
