What We Need...
A few years back my family and I were travelling in Arizona when we came across the smallest frogs ever. The place was hopping with baby frogs (excuse the pun) and they seemed to have no problem being held for a while. It was quite an experience.
Our three children held the baby frogs with gentle and caring hands and it made me think of teaching. I'm a special educator and for students with special education needs (who feel so small and vulnerable), being treated with gentleness and care is absolutely essential.
I watched our children with pride that day and wish with all my heart that all students in every classroom across the world were treated with such gentle and caring hands.
Isn't that what we all need?
We all need
to be treated with gentleness and care.
