Seeing Doggy Stars

My dog, she really loves me,

She gives me all that she's got -

For every time she sees me,

She wags her tail A LOT!

She wags it so much every morning

When my feet hit the bedroom floor;

She wags it again minutes later

As I emerge through the shower door.

When I'm dressed, I come out the closet,

And furiously her little tail goes,

And again when she sees me emerging

From the pantry with my cheerios.

Whenever my dog cannot see me,

She thinks she's alone and is sad.

Then when I show up (in minutes or days)

Her tail wags because she's so glad.

My dog, she really loves me,

She wags her tail a lot.

I hope it IS love and not because 

Her short-term memory's shot!
