Dear Diary (1)

 Holiday Day 1

 Dear Diary:

 I think we must have taken a wrong turn somewhere along the way. It's hotter than we expected (though some of that hot air is caused by having two adults, three pre-teens/teens, and a dog in the car). Also, the air conditioning has stopped working. I don't get it - it's worked just fine for 8 years and NOW it decides to quit?

What's worse, though, is that during one of our much-needed toilet-breaks (you know, the ones where nobody needs to use the bathroom but you need to have a bit more space around you even if it's just for an instant), one of the children dropped my iPad and broke it. Thank goodness I have my computer with me too because I have work to do. But wait! Another child locked the car keys in the car so I didn't have access to anything but the three kids and the dog for hours! My husband said we're up some creek or other without a paddle but I can't see any running water anywhere so think the stress is getting to him!

 But tomorrow's a new day. Perhaps we can find the right road...
