Dear Diary (2)

Holiday Day 2

 Dear Diary:

I think we've found the right road again; and, somehow or other, the air conditioner decided to start working. If I were superstitious I'd think it was something sinister. The day was fairly uneventful, though we had some very funny looks when our 13 year old son asked if he could borrow the car keys and my husband and I screamed and started running away! You could say that yesterday's events are still too fresh in our minds

Today, our 10 year old showed us that having a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. As we were driving along a very straight, very flat, very deserted section of road, she observed, "Boy, these Texans are proud of being Democrats!" Thinking she must be dehydrated, we were busy pouring water down her throat to try to stave off worse hallucinations when she pointed at a sign and spluttered, "Look there's another Proud Democrat sign!" We looked and saw:

Deer-donkey; I suppose they're quite similar! If that's all she's confused about with politics then I guess she's doing well.

Until tomorrow...
